About Lilo Insurance Guy

Raul “Lilo” Cardenas II is an Insurance Advisor and Training Coordinator for brokers at Affordable Insurance, where he combines over 15 years of industry experience with a passion for client advocacy and education. Growing up in his family’s insurance and tax business, Raul "Lilo" Cardenas II earned his Health and Life licenses in 2007 and has since built deep expertise across Medicare insurance, Affordable Care Act plans, long-term care solutions, annuities, and life insurance products.  

He has been recognized as a #1 Veteran Agent and a multi-year top producer, achievements largely earned through referrals and word of mouth. Lilo also takes pride in Affordable Insurance’s collective milestones, including Tru-Blue status with Blue Cross Blue Shield, an A+ BBB rating with no complaints, and 25 years of trusted service in the community.  

Known for his approachable teaching style, Lilo Insurance Guy is the go-to resource for colleagues navigating complex products, including those in the health insurance marketplace. He blends empathy with technical know-how, meeting clients where they are—whether with digital solutions or traditional paper applications. Lilo works with clients locally through in-person meetings or Zoom, and serves individuals across the country virtually to best fit their needs and schedules. Outside of work, Raul is a passionate saxophonist and vocalist who finds inspiration in music, fitness, and history. He serves on the Latino Leaders Coalition and regularly advocates for the senior community through Lifescape and NIAAA events. When he’s not working or serving the community, he enjoys camping, disc golfing, playing in his pinball league, and most of all—spending quality time with his wife and son.
